Joey Henry

Joey Henry, age 44, of Cibecue passed away Wednesday, January 12, 2022 in Phoenix, Arizona.  He was born to Vertie Jean Henry on November 12, 1977 in Show Low, Arizona.  He has resided in Whiteriver the past 20 years.

Joey was raised on the White Mountain Apache Reservation.  He attended school in Cibecue, graduating from Cibecue High School.  Joey loved to play basketball and was a very active outdoorsman.  He worked for the Tribal Forestry Department as a Firefighter, in the off season, he enjoyed working with the Cowboy Association.  

Joey is survived by his daughters, Joney Henry & Lovette Lewis; parents, Fernando & Vertie Enriquez; brothers, Chet Henry, Gene Enriquez & Renee Enriquez; sisters, Bianca M. Enriquez & Fernanda J. Enriequez; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.  He was preceded in death by is grandparents, Raymond & Marie Lee Henry; brother, Marciano Juan Enriquez.

Graveside Services were held at the Red Mountain Ridge Cemetery in Cibecue, Arizona on Friday, January 21, 2022.
