Jeanne Elizabeth Hunsaker

September 17, 1936 — December 8, 2018

Jeanne Elizabeth Hunsaker died on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Angel Wings Assisted Living in Vernon, Arizona following a lengthy illness.  She was 82 years old.  Jeanne was born on a Thursday, September 17, 1936, in Dallas, Texas to her parents, the late Marques and Marjorie (Hillsworth) Norton.

Jeanne was working for Doris Day in Hollywood when she met her husband to be, Don, who was a Fireman with the Glendale, California Fire Department. Jeanne's profession was acting roles; with Petticoat Junction, Gilligans Island, I Dream of Jeanne and Smother's Brother's. She was in two movies with Marilyn Monroe: The New Interns and the second movie was not finished because Marilyn Monroe passed away before completion.

Jeanne had a choice when her husband wanted to return back to Show Low, Arizona to live; Hollywood or Po-dunk Show Low! She said "I'll give it a year." So she and Don packed up and moved to Show Low and the wonderful people of Show Low, Arizona. Jeanne and Don were married on January 29, 1969 in North Hollywood California; they have been married for 49 blissful years.

She worked for Hall Motors and Sentry Fire and Welding Supply, which she co-owned with Don. She loved her callings in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Church; as a Mia-maid, Beehive and Laurel leader. She and Don served 2 missions for the church; one to the Mesa Arizona Temple and one to the Mexico City Temple, of which they loved. She loved to vacation and travel with Don to Mexico, Hawaii, Alaska, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, France, England, Israel, Greece, Turkey, etc.

She was truly a remarkable mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and precious wife for 49 years. She will be missed by all who knew her. We would like to thank all of the employees of National Bank for their love, support and compassion to our family.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Don Earl Hunsaker of Show Low, Arizona as well as her children: Kathi Webb (deceased), Annette and Rick Hunsaker, Karina and Kenneth Bertinoia, Cheradon Tevyaw, Lynn Hunsaker and Deborah Leann Hunsaker (deceased), 21 grandchildren and 43 great grandchildren.
