Janet LaRue Freed, passed away on 28th, August, 2023 at her home in Show Low, Arizona. She was born on December 17, 1937 to Alvin Irvin and Hughlene Cooper, Irvin.
Janet grew up in Bisbee, Arizona and graduated from Bisbee High School. After high school she worked in United States Civil Service. Her first position was clerk typist at Fort Huachuca, Arizona. She retired from the U.S. Forest Service as an Administrative Officer.
She met and married her husband, Eugene Freed, at Fort Huachuca, Arizona. They were happily married for almost 63 years. She played the piano and organ in several churches over the years, and taught Sunday School.
Janet is survived by her husband Eugene of Lockeford, California; her daughters Lorinda (Tom Mills) and Kathleen (Mike Beach), her grandchildren, Phillip, Chris, Krysti, and Michael, and her great-grandchildren, Lyman, Brinley, and Brooke.
Burial service will be at the Show Low Cemetery, Friday, September 1, 2023 at 10:00 AM. Condolences may be left on Janet LaRue Freed’s online guest book at Owens Livingston Mortuary.com.
