Jim (Buddy) Wilson passed away September 13, 2023 with the love of his life, Vivian, by his side. He was born on February 10, 1947 in Valdosta, Georgia.
A man of many talents, he was a saddler by trade for over 30 years. Artistic not only with pencil and paint, but with leather. He could take a dry piece of leather and tool beauty into it and a piece of cow hide and turn it into a saddle.
From his rodeo days, he acquired many long-lasting bumps and bruises, but still loved to get into the saddle.
A very charismatic personality and sense of humor, he could befriend just about anyone. He served in the United States Navy for 2 years, was a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks where he served as Exalted Ruler for the Show Low Elks Lodge 2090 and managed the Show Low Storage for 15 years.
Preceded in death by his father, James Woodrow Wilson; mother, Jimmie (Nichols) Wilson and sister, Jean Reynolds.
Survived by his sister, Linda Taylor and Barbara; many nieces, nephews, his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
