James "Jimbo" Patrick Robertson

December 9, 1978 — November 18, 2024

Springfield, Oregon

James Patrick Robertson, also known as “Jimbo” or “Jimmy,” passed away unexpectedly on November 18, 2024, at the age of 45. He was born on December 9, 1978, in Show Low, Arizona to Richard A. and Cindy Robertson.

Jimbo was proud of the community where he grew up, and his early years were spent in Snowflake, where he attended Snowflake Elementary before moving to Show Low, where he attended junior high and high school. He graduated in 1997, and his love for his hometown and its people remained with him throughout his life.

From a young age, Jimmy had a passion for sports, particularly baseball, which he loved above all. His infectious smile and zest for life were always evident, whether he was on the field or off. Along with baseball, he enjoyed playing football and basketball, sharing his love for sports with friends and family.

In addition to sports, Jimmy developed a deep love for construction work. He was always eager to learn new skills and take on challenges in the trade. One of his proudest achievements was learning to stamp concrete on his own porch, a project that he poured his heart into.

Above all, his greatest joy was his beautiful daughter, Gracee June Robertson, whom he lovingly called “June Bug.” He proudly coached her in soccer during her younger years, and as Gracee discovered her passion for volleyball, Jimmy became her biggest supporter, cheering her on every step of the way.

Jimbo lived by the motto “live & let live,” making friends wherever he went and spreading positivity to all those he encountered. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends who remember him for his warmth, kindness, and ever-present smile.

He is survived by his daughter, Gracee; his parents, Richard (Nancy) Robertson and Cindy Robertson; his sister, Rikki (Scott) Wagner; nephews Zack, Nick, Alex, Kaden, Kameron; niece Abby; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his brother, Billy, and his nephew, Sean.

A celebration of Jimbo’s life will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2024, from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at the Old Pavilion, 1100 E. Deuce of Clubs, Show Low, Arizona. Jimmy’s family invites all who knew him to come together to share memories, stories and to honor his legacy.
