At age 95 James Cuneo went to be with our Lord and Savior, surrounded in the loving comfort of his family. He passed away from several health complications associated with prostate cancer. James was born in Alexandria, Indiana. He served in the Navy during World War II, and the Korean War.
He married Jeanine June 18, 1948, in Andeson, Indiana. After they were married, they moved to Michigan. Five years later they moved to Tucson, Arizona so he could teach high school and coach at Amphitheater Unified School District. In 1987 they moved to Pinetop where he subbed High School, Jr. High, and even Elementary School throughout the White Mountains. He loved his church, to teach Sunday School, watch sports, and see and visit with family. He was the oldest of four.
He was predeceased in death by his wife, Jeanine; parents, two brothers, and one sister.
He is survived by his oldest son, Jon (Melissa) grandson Jason, great-grandson Steven, great-granddaughter Stephanie, granddaughter Jodi (Bella), great-granddaughter Jennifer (Ryan), two great-great-grandsons Jude, Kasen, and one great-great-granddaughter Clarity, great-grandson, Lawrence (Gina), two great-great-grandsons Tegan and Landyn, granddaughter Stacey (Gerry), great-granddaughter Anastasia, son Joe (Gayle), grandson Tony (predeceased in death), daughter Jacqui (Rod predeceased in death), grandson Jon (Georgi), great-grandson Austin (Andrea) great-great-grandsons Jack and Abraham, great-great-granddaughters Evelyn and Olivia, great-grandson Bret (Melody), great-great-granddaughter, Amelia, great-granddaughter Cheyenne, grandson, James (Ivalee), grandson, Joe (Angela), great-grandson, Troy (Jocelyn), great-great-grandson Baby Boy Wilson, grandson Jeremy (Tracy), great-granddaughter Isabella, three great-grandsons Kyran, Jaxon, and Luken; grandson Scott (April) and three great-granddaughters, Kyla, Ally and Lilly.
You will be missed till we see you again. His favorite Bible verse was Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through Him who strengthens me."
A viewing will be held Friday, December 2, 2022 from 4:00-6:00 p.m., Owen's Livingston Mortuary, 320 N 9th St. in Show Low, Arizona. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, December 3rd at 11:00 am at First Baptist Church, 1901 White Mountain Blvd., Pinetop, Arizona.
Interment will follow at the Show Low Cemetery. A luncheon will then be held back at the First Baptist Church.
