Howard Eugene Loyd died Saturday, June 8, 2019, at his home in Snowflake, Navajo County, Arizona following a courageous one-year battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 77 years old. Howard was born on a Saturday, March 7, 1942, in Oklahoma City, Choctaw County, Oklahoma to his parents, the late James Payton and Dorothy Leona (Jolliff) Loyd.
He developed a sense of country while still in his youth and, he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps. After receiving his honorable discharge from the Marines, Howard began a long successful career. He was the consummate businessman and owned several home decorating and window covering stores.
After he retired, Howard moved to Snowflake, Arizona where he lived for 12 years. He loved the community and the people that lived there. He was an avid golfer and was an active member of the Snowflake Men's Club, where his was a friendly and familiar face. Howard enjoyed golfing with his many friends.
Howard will be missed greatly and fondly remembered by his family and friends.
