Harrison Kinney, Jr. of McNary, Arizona peacefully passed away following a lengthy illness November 1, 2021 in Phoenix, Arizona. He was 39. Harrison was born on October 7, 1982 in Whiteriver, Arizona to his parents, Harrison Kinney Sr. and Vivian (Garcia) Kinney.
Harrison grew up and lived most of his life in Lakeside, AZ and attended Blue Ridge Schools. He was a member of the 2001 graduating class at Blue Ridge. Harrison was a jack-of-all-trades and held many different positions while working. He was a mechanic at Show Low GMC Pontiac Nissan, an Evidence Technician for the White Mountain Police Department as well as a certified dispatcher and recruit officer. He loved his service to the White Mountain Apache tribe and also worked for security and transportation for the Hondah Casino. He even worked as a greeter for Walmart greeting each customer with a friendly and bright smile.
An avid outdoorsman, Harrison, loved to hunt and fish, taking his family on many camping trips and cutting wood for those in need. Family was most important to him and he had an extremely close and special bond with each one of them, especially his wife and children. Making sure his family had everything they needed was his top priority. He will be deeply missed by all those who were fortunate enough to call him family or friend.
He is survived by his wife, Andrea Kinney; children, Isaac Kinney, Kaleb Kinney, Kayla Kinney, Nakia Kinney and Naomi Kinney; mother, Vivian Kinney; father, Harrison Kinney Sr.; siblings, Victoria and Jeffrey Kinney; niece and nephew that he raised as his own, Justin Cheney, Isaiah Kinney and Justina Kinney; mother-in-law, Joann Tortice and many extended family members and friends.
A one night wake will begin 10:00 A.M. Monday, November 15, 2021 at his sister’s residence, 502 Cinder Mountain Court, McNary. Home services will be held 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, November 16, 2021 with the interment to follow at the Ponderosa Pines Cemetery in McNary.
