Guadalupe Trujillo of Taylor, Arizona passed away on December 13, 2018 in Show Low, Arizona after a brief illness. He was 87. Lupe was born on October 26, 1931 in Chimayo, New Mexico to the late, Valentine and Esqupula (Vigil) Trujillo.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Trujillo; son, David Trujillo; brothers and sisters, Abel, Willie, Narcisco, Romoncita Garcia, Magdalena Espinoza and Mery Montoya.
Lupe had a 3rd grade education but received a “real life” education. He built his own home and homes for many of his family and friends. He was a foreman on many construction jobs building roads, freeways and rest areas across Arizona. He could read blue prints and was responsible for laying pipe and foundations for many projects.
Lupe started the Flea Market in Snowflake for Our Lady of the Snow Catholic Church. He was instrumental along with the church and local community in funding the construction of the Activity Center. He was also very active with the Crusillos in the church however Lupe’s greatest accomplishment is that he was loved by his family and many friends.
Lupe was a great auto mechanic and spent a lot of time working and maintaining cars and trucks for his family and friends. He would drive hundreds of miles to help stranded family and friends. He spent so much time helping people. His wife Mary recalls spending their first date with Lupe going to fix her roof at her house.
A visitation will be held 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, December 19, 2018 with the Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 10:45 A.M at the Our Lady of The Snow Catholic Church, 1655 Main Street, Snowflake, Arizona. The Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 A.M. The interment will take place at the Nuestra Senora de Carmel Catholic Cemetery in Chimayo, New Mexico.
