Glenda Hill Griffith of Mesa, Arizona, passed into Eternity on December 3, 2021, She was born January 5, 1941 in Borger, Texas.
Her family moved often in her youth, but after her father returned from WWII, her mother and father decided to settle in the mining community of Hayden, Arizona. It was in Hayden that she met the love of her life, Dare Griffith. They were High School Sweethearts who celebrated 60 years of marriage on November 30, 2018. They were sealed together for time and eternity in the Mesa Arizona Temple. Family, from that point on, was the single most important thing that they, as a couple, would ever have.
In July of 1965 Dare and Glenda moved to Tucson, where Glenda would continue to be a stay-at-home-mom and extraordinary homemaker. She honed her cooking, cleaning and organizational skills, so that she not only nurtured and raised her family, but was also able to hold many callings in her church. In 1988 they moved to Mesa, where they lived the remainder of their lives.
Together, she and Dare, lovingly raised 11 children. Surviving children are, Leslie Dare (Stacey), Janet Clark, Byron Ray (Kathi), Sherri Lynn, Robert Whitney (Anjelina), Caren Louise, Shannon Leanne, Tami Lynette, Latrida Lorraine, and Travon H. Griffith.
Glenda was preceded in death by her loving husband, Dare; their son, Bradley Dean; and their daughters Carol Ann and Lanae, who died in infancy.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Kearny, Arizona, with a viewing one hour prior. Burial will follow at the Kearny Cemetery.
