Glen "Martin" Grantham, 88, husband of Marcia (Mauzy) Grantham, passed away Saturday, August 29, 2020, at home, Solterra Senior Living, Lakeside, AZ. Born November 11, 1931, in Ryan, OK, he was the son of Claud and Willie Belle (Williams) Grantham.
Martin graduated from Ryan High School (Ryan, OK) in 1949. He attended Oklahoma A&M where he met the love of his life, Marcia Mauzy. They were married in 1952. They both graduated from Oklahoma A&M (later known as Oklahoma State University). Martin was commissioned in the Air Force and served his country proudly.
After leaving the service, Martin was both a rancher and a funeral home director in his hometown. Later, he moved to Oklahoma City, OK with his family. For four decades, he had a successful career in sales and sales management. During this time, he continued to serve his country in the Air National Guard achieving the rank of major by retirement.
Martin loved his family and friends. He is best known as a storyteller and singer. He sang in the church choir his entire life, and always enjoyed singing solos for special occasions. Those who knew him say that he always took the time to make people feel special. He was the kind of man that made friends anywhere. He could make you feel welcome, like you and he had been friends for years. Martin, along with Marcia, were ambassadors to the new residents at Solterra. He will be a great candidate to continue this role in heaven. His hobbies included RVing, boating, and cheering on his favorite sports teams (especially his OSU cowboys). He and Marcia enjoyed taking their grandchildren on RV trips. They also hosted hit pool parties with grandchildren and church youth.
He is survived by his wife Marcia (Mauzy) Grantham; son Dale Grantham and wife Rosemarie of Dallas, TX; daughter Kathryn Harrison and husband Don of Show Low, AZ; son Yancey Grantham and wife Susan of Redding, CA; and son Louis Grantham and wife Rebecca of Castle Rock, CO.
