Gerry Wayne Mitchell

Gerry Wayne Mitchell, age 82, was born on March 27, 1940, and passed away on Saturday, August 27th in Casa Grande, Az. Gerry was born in Salt Lake City, UT, and was the oldest son of Grace Josephine Gerhardt and Milton Wayne Mitchell. 

Gerry worked for Hill Air force Base as well as the Rio Grande Railroad in Utah, and retired working for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as a Microfilmist. He was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ and held many callings and positions. He loved family history, gardening, the outdoors, and serving in the temple. 

He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Sue Mitchell; sisters, Nancy Kirksmen (Kirby) And Janice Snyder; brothers, Kelly Mitchell (Susan) and Todd Mitchell,(Shelly) children, Heidi Jo Farr (Mark), Dan Mitchell (Diane), Mechelle Smuin (Brent), Jeremy Mitchell (Breck); fifteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren; stepchildren, Bart Cross (Mindy), Shonda Rose( Tim);  four step-grandsons, two step-granddaughters, and one great-grandson.

A viewing will be held at Owens Livingston Mortuary, 84 E. 19th South, Snowflake, on Thursday, September 1st at 2:00 pm with funeral services following at 3:00 pm. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, September 7th at 10:30 AM, at the Bountiful City Cemetery, 2224 South 200 West Bountiful Utah.
