George Ulibarri

A proud veteran who served in the Army National Guard, George Ulibarri, Sr., age 87, passed away July 31, 2022 in Show Low, AZ. He was born on October 25, 1934 in Polvadera, New Mexico.

He made Snowflake his home for the last 57 years where he resided with his wife of 67 years, Mary Lou. He was a caustic operator for Abitibi Consolidated until his retirement in 1996. He had a love for the outdoors, especially fishing. He also enjoyed gambling and spending time with his family. He was a devout catholic and loved his church.

He is survived by his wife Mary Lou; sons, Gabriel and Norman, and daughter Cynthia Coor (Mike); many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by son, George Jr., and daughter, Suzanne Barela.

A funeral service in memory of George is scheduled for Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at the Our Lady of the Snow Catholic church in Snowflake, AZ, with the viewing taking place at 10:00 AM, and Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Burial will immediately follow at the R.V. Mike Ramsay Cemetery in Snowflake, AZ.
