“Jim” George W. Woolford, 82, passed away on April 10, 2018 at his home in White Mountain Lake, Arizona. Jim was born on August 21, 1935 to George Albert and Nell (Brimhall) Woolford in Show Low, Arizona.
His early years were spent in Show Low where he attended school and then Snowflake. As he grew older he worked in the log woods as a truck driver and worked for Red Mountain Mining as a mechanic in Mesa. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping. Jim was a member of the Moose Lodge, Elks Lodge, Eagles and the Auxiliary of the Men of the Veterans of Foreign War.
There wasn’t anything he couldn’t fix with “Hucky Puck.”
Jim was preceded in death by his partner in life, Karen Nelson.
He is survived by his siblings, Jackie Solomon and Doug Woolford.
A memorial service “gathering” will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2018 from 10:00-12Noon at Woolford’s Garage, 1025 E. Deuce of Clubs, Show Low.
