Frederick Ernest Cody "Jake"

Frederick Ernest Cody, also known as “Jake”, passed away on July 4, 2023 in Buckeye, Arizona. 

Frederick was born on June 2, 1986 in Phoenix, Arizona  to Patrick and Norberta Endfield Cody.

 Frederick grew up in Whiteriver and in Cedar Creek Arizona, where he attended Alchesay High School, earning his GED at 19, in Whiteriver, Arizona.

Frederick began work as a rancher for the White Mountain Apache Tribal Cattle Association, later becoming part of a camp crew for the Whiteriver Forestry Department. 

Frederick came from a big family, and he had a lot of love for them! He especially had a great love for his three children. He was a good dad. 

Frederick enjoyed the outdoors. He loved going camping with his family. He also enjoyed playing basketball and chess. 

Frederick is preceded in death by his parents, Patrick Cody and Norberta Endfield Cody, and his brother, Terrance Cody. 

He is survived by his son, Tanner Ethelbah, daughters, Peyton Jane Cody and Karlie Addison Cody, all of McNary, Arizona; his sister, Loribeth Cody, of Whiteriver, Arizona; and Dan & Harriet Butterfield, Jr.

Services will be held on Monday, July 17, 2023, at the Whiteriver Assembly of God Church, Whiteriver, AZ, with the visitation held from 8 am to 10 am. Services will begin immediately after the visitation at 10 am at the church. Burial, Cedar Creek Cemetery, upper Cedar Creek, AZ.
