Frances Robinson

Our loving wife and mother, Frances Rice Robinson, left her earthly home in Snowflake, Arizona and was reunited with her parents and loved ones on December 21, 2024, at the age of 89. Frances was born on December 19, 1935 to Howard Neil (Bud) and Jewel Rice in Albuquerque, New Mexico. They later welcomed her younger sister May.

Frances lived in Budville, New Mexico in her younger years. She went to San Fidel school from 1st to 3rd grade. She then attended University Heights from 4th through 10th grade. She attended St. Johns high school where she graduated.

After high school Fran married Bruce Overson and they had four children, three boys and a girl; Howard Clyde, Edward Troy, Shannen and Ronald Bruce Jr. During those years They lived in Pacos Texas, Phoenix, and St. Johns Arizona.

Fran was a convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served faithfully.

Mom was always canning, gardening, reading and crocheting. She loved her children and would do anything for them. She was a hard worker and a good friend.

Frances worked at the Arizona Department of Transportation in the motor vehicle division. She worked there until she retired.

During this time, she met Glenn Robinson. They married on November 8, 1980, in Mesa Arizona. Glenn had four children, (Glenette, Frank, Noreen and Nova) and they became a blended family.

After Glenn retired, they moved to Safford, Arizona in 1998. They returned to the White Mountains that they loved in 2018.

Frances is survived by her husband, Glenn Robinson. Her one sister, May Greer. Her four children, Howard (Ellen) Overson, Troy (Leslie) Overson, Shannen Jackson, and Ron (Heidi) Overson. Her step children, Glenette (John) Mousie and Frank (Crystal) Robinson.

She had 25 grandchildren, 52 great grandchildren and 10 great, great grandchildren and numerous wonderful family members and friends.

A Public Viewing will be held Friday, December 28, 2024 from 9:00-10:00am at Owens Livingston Mortuary ~ White Mountain Chapel, 320 N. 9th St., Show Low, Arizona. Funeral Services will follow immediately. A Graveside Service will take place that afternoon at 1:00pm at the St. Johns Arizona Cemetery.
