Floyd Scott Etchison

Floyd Scott Etchison passed away April 12, 2023 at his home in Show low, Az. He was born in Santa Cruz, Ca. to Gerold Etchison and Hazel- Marie Chapell.

Scott grew up in Carson City, Nevada. He moved to Phoenix, Arizona in 1978, where he met Christine. They met on the dance floor. They were married two years later in 1980. And danced through life for the next 45 years. Always hard working and driven by his many projects. Weekends were spent with friends and family riding ATV’s, camping, boating, and playing in the mud bogs with his monster truck. Life was full of adventures living in Phoenix, Stagecoach & Carson City, Nevada and Sacramento before finding their home in Show low, Arizona in 2007.

Scott was preceded in death by his parents, Gerold & Marlene Etchison and Hazel- Marie & Chuck Thoman; brothers, Jerry and Jene and sister, Randy; grandsons, Richard “Scotty” Bailey and Beau Tiedel, Leland Mc Creadie; and Niece, Nicole Waterston.

He is survived by his loving family; wife, Christine Etchison; his children, Tonya (Randy) King, Thomas (Heather) Bailey, Stacy (Jamie) Reyes; grandchildren, Jacob (Missy), Stormie (Michael), Kami (Adam), Joshua (Jessica), Ashele (Justin), Destinee (Mike), Kera (Greg) Bradley (Marissa), Niko; and 23 great-grandchildren; siblings, Dawn Etchison, Lynn (Dan) Murrow, Bill (Rose) Etchison; nieces and nephews, Brandy, Jason, Karen Ann, Hannah, Tony, Heather, Jenny, Michael, Sammy and Joe.

He was blessed to share his life with countless friends and chosen family members, His “crew". Some old, some new but all greatly loved.

The memorial service will be held at Owens Livingston Mortuary~White Mountain Chapel, 320 N 9th St., Show Low, Arizona 85901, with reception to follow at White Mountain Community Dance Hall 1105 Old Hwy 160, Show Low, Arizona from 2:00–6:00 P.M.
