Ervin Leon Musgrove

Ervin Leon Musgrove, 74, of Taylor, Arizona passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, June 28, 2019. He was born on February 1^st, 1945 in Hillsboro, Oregon to Eldridge and Marie (Jeffery) Musgrove.

Ervin moved to Arizona as an infant and had fond early memories of living in Heber/Chevlon where he made lifelong friends. His family then moved to Woodville, California where he attended elementary and middle school. The family moved back to Arizona where Ervin graduated from Winslow High School in 1963. In 1965 he was drafted into the US Army. He served as a Sargent in the infantry division for 2 years, including 18 months in Germany.

On April 16, 1969 he married the love of his life, Julie Ann Jones. Together they shared 42 wonderful years before her passing on March 29, 2010.

He is survived by his daughter Sandy Musgrove-Villareal of Chandler, Arizona; brothers: Amos (Jackie) of Visalia, California, Lyn (Ellie) of Snowflake, Arizona; sisters: Judy Heath (Ted) of Snowflake, Lorna (Charles) Waldemar of Twin Falls, Idaho, Jeanne Stroh of San Antonio, Texas, and Neta Musgrove of Port Allegany, Pennsylvania; along with many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife Julie; son, Brian; parents, Eldridge and Marie Musgrove and sister, Faye Cox.

Ervin worked at the Paper Mill for 42 years, retiring in 2010. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He was a big baseball fan, both playing and watching. He loved classic cars, traveling, reading, Native American Artifacts and History. Ervin’s greatest joy was his family and his dogs.

Ervin will be forever known for his quiet generosity, kind spirit and witty sense of humor. He will be deeply missed by family and friends.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at the Owens Livingston Mortuary~Heritage Chapel, 84 E. 19 S., Snowflake. Graveside services will be held following the services at 3:30 P.M. at the Show Low Cemetery.
