Elaine Margaret Lang died on Wednesday, August 25, 2021, in her home at White Mountain Lake in Show Low, Navajo County, Arizona. She was 79 years old. Elaine was born on May 30, 1942, in Buffalo, Erie County, New York to her parents, the late Franklin Pomerhn and Agnes (Fest) Pomerhn.
On November 11, 1961, Elaine married the late James (Jimmy) Matthew Lang in Buffalo, New York; the couple was married almost fifty-two years. In 1971, the Lang family moved to Tucson, Arizona. Elaine worked in the marketing research sector; Elaine eventually became a manager of the marketing research firm FMR Associates Inc. In 2002, Elaine and Jimmy moved to White Mountains Lakes, Arizona fulfilling Jimmy’s goal of over thirty years. Elaine was a member of the Red Hat Society and the White Mountain Lake Community Baptist Church. Elaine was known as a huge Elvis Presley fan; she had the opportunity to see him in concert in 1976.
Elaine is survived by her three children, Bradley Lang, spouse Lorena, Laura Harris, spouse Earl, Lea Saumat, spouse Sam; grandchildren, Jake Merry, Margarite Lang, Jamie Huffman, Matthew Lang, Austin Lang, Bradley Merry; brothers, Franklin Pomerhn and Robert Pomerhn; sisters-in-law, Kathie Lang, Anna Hoffman; nieces, Susan Green, Michelle Nevin, Marguerite Pomerhn-Dereks; her nephews, John Luedecke, Robert Pomerhn, Mark Pomerhn, Timothy Pomerhn, and so many wonderful friends.
A special memorial service for Elaine will begin at 2:00 P.M., on Saturday, October 2, 2021, at the White Mountain Lake Community Baptist Church, 8320 Lone Pine Drive in Show Low, Arizona; Pastor Vern Hardee will preside. The memorial service can also be viewed via Facebook live at
