Edward Lockett

November 9, 1932 — May 8, 2019

Edward Lockett Sr., 86 a resident of Show Low, Arizona crossed the Vail and returned Home to be with Our Heavenly Father on May 8th 2019. Edward was the oldest eight children to the  late Eddie & Bernice Lockett of Linden, Texas.

Edward grew up in the Beautiful Piney Woods of Linden, Texas where he met and married the Love of His Life, the late (Willie Stene Hyder - Lockett). They were married for 60 years and were longtime residents of the White Mountains.

Edward was a graduate of Fairview High School and attended Prairie View A & M University before enlisting into the United States Air Force.   Edward had a distinguished Military Career of 26 years and served as a In - Flight Reciprocal / Jet Engine Specialist for Air Vac; and later in Administration as First Sargent at Lackland Air Force Base .  After his Air Force Retirement, Edward continued to serve the United States Government in the capacity of Civil Service.

During his Military Career, Edward often spoke of his many assignments and the importance of being dedicated to Our Great Nation.

Edward is a Member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was preceded in death by his Wife “Willie Stene Lockett (November 23rd 2017)”, and leaves a host of Acquaintances, Friends & Family to his remembrance.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Hon - Dah Resort Ballroom (McNary Room) on June 4th 2019 at 11:00 A.M., and Military Interment with Full Military Honors at the National Memorial Veterans Cemetery in Cave Creek, Arizona on June 5th 2019 at 10:00 A.M. Arrangements were handled thru Owens Livingston Mortuary-White Mountain Chapel in Show Low, Arizona.
