Edmond Arnold Marvin

Edmond Arnold Marvin passed away on April 2, 2021. He was born March 17, 1933 at Thatcher, Arizona to John Abinadi and Rosamond Mae Lomas. He was the eleventh of twelve children. His older brothers and sisters were grown so he and younger brother, Jay, were always together. 

Eddie loved the outdoors, especially hunting. He would borrow the .22 and take his pocketknife and little skillet and off the boys would go. He attended school in Globe, Cortez, Colorado and Thatcher. He only had an eighth grade education but he was very smart. He could wire a house, build structures, do plumbing, and work on vehicles. He was very talented with his hands  in drawing, making jewelry, leatherwork, tinting photographs, making wire trees, and working with wood and rocks. He even built his own bow for hunting. He enjoyed teaching outdoor survival. He knew a lot about a lot of things. He helped anyone in need.

He served in the Army from 1953-1955, in Alaska, California and Seoul Korea. He met a little girl there that he helped support and put her through school.

Eddie was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was a High Priest. He met Lorena Shuree Smithson the summer of 1955 and they got married June 8, 1956 at Woodruff, Arizona.

Eddie is survived by wife Shuree, three sons, three daughters, 18 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by a son, John and a daughter, Robin. We love you and will miss you very much!

A Viewing will be held Wednesday, April 7, 2021 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Owens Livingston Mortuary, 409 N. 1st Ave, Holbrook, Arizona. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 8, at 1:00 p.m. at the Woodruff Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Woodruff, Arizona.

Burial will follow in the Woodruff Cemetery.
