Irvin C. Uhl and Edith E. (Petschke) Uhl passed away peacefully in their home on March 15, 2018. They were married 70 1/2 years. They passed away 12 hours apart from each other. Almost could hear Dad saying "Come on Edith, let's go." Dad was born January 27 1917 in Sandusty, Ohio. Mom was born June 16, 1926 in Hinesdale, Illinois. He retired from Western Electric in 1976. His hobbies were: woodcarving and the gym. She enjoyed making and buying crafts. Together they enjoyed traveling, building a new home, wine tasting, playing Bridge, being surrounded by friends; whether it be down-hill or cross country skiing, going to concerts or playing golf. And most of all dancing; could be Ballroom, Square, Round or Line and of course the famous 2-step.Mom was president of the South San Mateo Women's Club; she even went back to school and got her real estate license. Dad served in the Air Force and was stationed in Guam. They married July 17, 1946. When dad retired they moved from California to Ashland, Oregon where dad raised some cattle; then later on it was hay. At almost 80 they moved to the coast of Oregon. After a few years they finally had places built and settled in Arizona; spending 6 months in Pinetop and 6 months in Mesa.They were preceded in death by their 2 sons: Steven Carl and Robert Edward and their daughter Terry Lynn. They are survived by their daughter Cheryl A., a sister in Missouri and a brother in Illinois, 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. They will surely be missed by all who were lucky enough to have met them.No public services are scheduled at this time. Arrangements were handled Owens Livingston Mortuary-White Mountain Chapel in Show Low, Arizona.
