Edith J Tesinsky, 91, of Show Low passed away peacefully on November 4, 2021.
Edie was born and grew up in Vienna, Austria where she learned to ski, play her beloved piano and dance as a young woman in the ballet. She and her family survived the Nazi invasion of Austria and suffered through the occupation and eventual liberation of her home country at the end of WWII. In God’s plan she met and married her husband Harry who was with the US Army infantry. Edie left her homeland in 1947 and moved to Chicago, IL with her new husband, learned to speak English and became a citizen of the US. She was always proud of her heritage but was most proud of being an American. She worked a variety of jobs, but her favorite was as a seamstress during her residence in Scottsdale, AZ.
She loved sewing and crocheting as her occupation and as her hobby.
She will be dearly missed by family and her myriad number of friends.
Edie was preceded in death by her husband Harry and her daughter Kimberly Tanner. She is survived by her sons Eric and daughter-in-law Sharon and Steven and daughter-in-law Linda, her five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
