Dorothy Jean Williams

May 22, 1929 — February 9, 2020

Our loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and grandmother Dorothy Jean Heward Williams passed on Feb. 9 2020. She was born May 22, 1929.

Her funeral services were held on Saturday, Feb. 15, at the Holbrook LDS Stake Center

Dorothy was a devoted mother, homemaker, accomplished pianist, church organist, talented artist and loving wife. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her life was an expression of love for her Savior and our Heavenly Father. Seventeen of her grandchildren have served full time missions around the world.

She was the daughter of Glen Burl Heward and Helen Smith Heward. She graduated from Brigham Young University with a bachelors in education where she met her sweetheart and later were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on June 5, 1951. They later served a mission together at the Geological Library in Salt Lake City.

She is survived by her husband, Jay B. Williams; sister, Orma Louise Abbott; children, Steven Roseanna Williams, Jennilyn (Larry) Lowe, Helen (Scott) Butler, Evelyn (Rick) Bryson, Rebecca (Dan) Garrett, Mathew (Barbra) Williams, Jeff (Deann Williams); 41 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Her daughters, Maureen Williams Hall and Amber Williams (stillborn) and her brother, Robert Heward preceded her in death.
