Delna Margaret McClellan Beecroft

Delna Margaret McClellan Beecroft, age 81, died peacefully in her home in Taylor, AZ surrounded by family members in the early morning hours on Christmas Day, 2021 after a brief, yet courageous battle with aggressive cancer. 

Delna was born on February 7, 1940, in Hayward, CA to D. Ross McClellan and Margaret Stewart and was the second oldest of five children. She attended and graduated high school at Hayward High School, then attended Brigham Young University in Provo, UT where she met, fell in love with, and married Glen A. Beecroft who was her loving partner for 58 years until he passed away in June 2020. 

Delna is survived by 5 of her 6 children and 10 grandchildren, in addition to 6 honorary grandchildren. Her only son, Jody Lane Beecroft passed away in November 2001. 

Besides spending time with her loved ones, Delna enjoyed quilting, sewing, gardening, cooking, and attending her grandchildren’s extracurricular activities. She was an avid journaler and dedicated temple worker for the LDS church. She enjoyed making greeting cards for her loved ones and was an extremely hard worker that finished a project to the end. She touched many lives with her compassion and service for others.
