Delma Brewer

Delma May (Hughey) Brewer went to Heaven, quietly in her sleep, on December 1, 2024. She was 93 years old, born January 2, 1931. Her parents were William (Bill) and Stella Hughey. Her brother, Bobby had 2 children, Villa (dec'd) and Peggy.

She was married to Phil Willis Brewer on May 4, 1947. He is the son of Ivan and May Brewer.

Delma had five children. Survivors include Phyllis Jones (Steve dec'd in 2019) of Snowflake, Arizona; Charles (Leslie) Brewer of Winslow, Arizona; Dorothy Barnhardt (Pat) of Buena Vista, Colorado; and David (Kim) of Olympia, Washington; 29 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren. She is now reunited with her son, Delvin (Debbie), who passed away in 1977.

Delma loved to camp, fish, hunt, square dance, quilt, paint, write poetry. But her favorite thing was to spend time with her children and grandchildren. She loved the outdoors. She was a waitress, a cook, and a successful business owner.

She was an active member ot The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and served in many positions. Her intimate relationship with God was a result of the many trials she experienced during her mortal journey, as well as her many blessings.

She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and relatives.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at the Centennial Stake Center, 175 W 9th S St, Snowflake, Arizona with a viewing from 9:00-10:00a.m.There will also be a viewing on Friday, December 13th, from 6:00-8:00 at Owens Livingston Mortuary~Heritage Chapel, 84 E. 19th S., Snowflake, Arizona.
