Delbert Childs, 75, passed away on March 9, 2025, in Mesa, Arizona.

He was born on August 15, 1949 in Carrizo, AZ, to William Childs and Helen Cook Childs.


Delbert attended school and graduated from Sherman Indian High School in Riverside, California. He worked for the the BIA in the Forestry Management Department. He also owned a logging company.


Delbert had a strong love for the outdoors and forest. He often took many drives throughout the Mountain Forest.


Delbert is survived by his children, Richard Ricardo Childs, Sr., Delberta Childs, and Delbert Childs, Jr.; 5 step-children, Michael Zospah, Michelle Zospah, Wynita Zospah, Wylita Zospah, Leo Paul Zospah; brother, Gilbert Childs; Godchildren, Amanda Gilson & Garrett Cody Childs; as well as many grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended friends.


He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Helen Childs; wife, Judy Narcisco Childs; daughter, Debra Childs; siblings, Daniel Childs and Helena Childs Bonito.


A one-night wake will begin at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, March 20, 2025, 1017 S. Cooley Road, Cibecue, Arizona. A home service will begin at 10:00 A.M., Friday, March 21, 2025, at the same location.


Concluding Services and Interment will be held at the Sunnyside Cemetery in Cibecue.
