David Michael Way, 68, passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2022, in Show Low, Arizona. Born February 10, 1954, in Strongsville, Ohio, David graduated from Lafayette Sr. High School in Lexington, Ky., and briefly attended Northwestern Michigan College before embarking on a life path that would take him to eastern Arizona.
David loved to be outdoors and worked as a tree cutter for many years. He was pleased to explore the Appalachian Trail as a young man. Deeply spiritual and artistic, David put his creative energy into paintings that celebrated nature, Native American culture, and spiritual symbolism. David wanted his life to honor Jesus and created written and recorded messages of faith to share with churches and individuals around the world.
David was preceded in death by his wife, Annette Way; father, James Way and mother, Gwen Way.
He is survived by sisters, Carol (Stewart Nelson) Hefner, Ceeney (Ed) Dodson, and Nancy (Martin Jones) Way; brothers, James Way Jr., David R. (Barbara) Way, and Daniel (Dena) Way; and his partner of 10 years Antoinette Zendelbach.
