David Allen Bawden, age 64, of Tonto Basin, Arizona, formerly of Vernon, Arizona, passed away on January 13, 2023 at the Banner Gateway Medical Center in Gilbert, Arizona.
David was born on April 12, 1958 in Phoenix, Arizona to Don and Kay (Milliron) Bawden. He attended school in Phoenix, Arizona before moving to Vernon, Arizona with his family at the age of 16. After graduating from Round Valley High School, he attended Universal Technical Institute in Phoenix, Arizona.
David was previously married to Wendy Green and had three children David, Donny, and Tina. In his second marriage, he gained two step daughters Kirby and Kalyn.
David worked as a millwright for many years and traveled the country to jobs sites, with his last job being at Central Arizona Project before he retired.
David enjoyed fixing old cars, fishing, hunting, and most importantly, spending time with his family. In his early retirement he spent as much time as he could with his children and grandchildren, despite the distance. He will be sorely missed.
David leaves behind his children David (Abigail) Bawden of Redwood Falls, MN, Donny (Maggie) Bawden of Redwood Falls, MN, and Tina (Brandon) Penrod of Vernon, AZ; grandchildren Mason, Jackson, and Jonesy Bawden, Marissa, Sophia, Shaun, and Ayden Jasperson, Felix Bawden, and Marlee, Braxton, and Gannon Penrod; parents Don and Kay Bawden of Vernon, AZ; brother Kevin (Cathy) Bawden of Vernon, AZ; nieces and nephew Margine Bawden, Katy (Chilton) Miller, and Kevin Bawden, step daughters Kirby McNown and Kalyn Youngblood, as well as cousins, extended family, and friends.
David was preceded in death by his brother Larry J. Bawden.
There will be a viewing at the Owens Livingston Mortuary White Mountain Chapel, in Show Low, Arizona on Friday, January 20th from 10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m., with the service immediately following at 11:30 a.m. The burial will be at the Vernon Cemetery following the service with a luncheon to follow at the LDS Church in Vernon.
