Darl Lamar Hall

April 22, 1944 — May 11, 2019

Darl Lamar Hall of Show Low, Arizona passed away on May 11, 2019 at his home in Show Low. He was 75. Darl was born on April 22, 1944 in McNary, Arizona to the late, Lamar and Martha (Johnson) Hall.

 

Darl grew up in the White Mountains having attended high school in Lakeside where he was an excellent football player and athlete. For many years he held the record for most touchdowns in a season. He graduated from school in Lakeside and attended the NAU where he also played football. Following his time at NAU Darl went on a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints in Mexico. After being released from his mission he attended the Brigham Young University and walked on to their football team.

 

Darl met the love of his life, Linda Seymore in Show Low and they were married in 1966 at the Mesa Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They enjoyed 53 wonderful years of marriage before his passing.

 

He began working for SRP in St. Johns, Arizona at the bottom and gradually worked up to being the O&M Supervisor before retiring in 2010 after 37 years. An avid outdoorsman, Darl, loved to go camping, hunting and fishing with his family.

 

Darl had a wonderful sense of humor and loved making people laugh and smile. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and enjoyed the title, “Papa” to the light of his life, Landree, his granddaughter. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

 

Darl is survived by his loving wife, Linda of Show Low; sons, Brett and Brandon Hall of Lakeside; granddaughter, Landree Hall of Show Low; brother, Terry Hall (Shirley) of Casa Grande, Arizona and sisters, Mary Carver of Mesa, Arizona and Delauna Stephenson (Bobby) of Goodyear, Arizona.

 

He was preceded in death by his son, Darrin on August 1, 2007; brother, Gary Hall and a sister, Martha Gail Hoopes.

 

A viewing will be held from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Friday, May 17, 2019 at the Owens Livingston Mortuary~White Mountain Chapel, 320 N. 9th Street, Show Low. Graveside services will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, May 18, 2019 at the Show Low Cemetery.
