Daniel Brito Navarrete

December 30, 1957 — September 17, 2021

With his family at his bedside, Daniel Brito Navarrete, Sr., died Friday, September 17, 2021, at his home in Vernon, Arizona following a lingering illness. He was 63 years old. Daniel was born on a Monday, December 30, 1957, in Sacramento, California to Adrian and Felicita (Brito) Navarrete. As an infant, he was sent to be reared by his aunt & uncle, Wilma Jean and Salvador Molina Navarrete. They raised him to be the man that he became and he is forever grateful for the love they showed him throughout their lives.

On August 10, 1978, Daniel married the love of his life.  In 1990, Dan and Lucy brought their family to Show Low from Phoenix.  The family didn't have running water, so Dan would hauld water after a long day at work.  Dan worked for E&E Services for 29 years, with his latest position being a Sales Representative.

Daniel was preceded in death by his wife, Lucy Esparza Navarrete on July 12, 2014. He is survived by his 3 children: Gloria (Alvaro, Jr.) Tamayo of Vernon, Arizona, Danny (Ashley) Navarrete of Snowflake, Arizona, Roxann (Kevin Barriga) of Deming, New Mexico; 6 siblings: Linda Navarrete of Laveen, Arizona, Adan (Pearl) Navarrete of Chandler, Arizona, Bobby (Nellie) Navarrete of El Mirage, Arizona, Freida (Richard) Rojas of Peoria, Arizona, Angie (Brian) Conklin of Surprise, Arizona, Adrian (Christopher) Navarrete of California; 13 grandchildren: A.J. Hernandez, Vanessa Hernandez, Joseph Hernandez, D.J. Navarrete, Katie (Bailey) Davis, Anthony Navarrete (who is an E-1 serving in the U.S. Navy), Corbin Navarrete, Breanna Navarrete, Tyson Navarrete, Marcelina Collins, Isaac Collins, Isabell Barriga, Natalie Barriga; 3 great-grandchildren: Talia Davis, Finn Davis, Aaliyah Adams with another great-grandson, Mason Adams, who's due in November.

The funeral service will begin 2:00 P.M., Friday, September 24, 2021, at Owens Livingston Mortuary - White Mountain Chapel, 320 N. 9th Street in Show Low, Arizona where the viewing will begin 1 hour prior. 

The Navarrete Family is thankful for the kind expressions of sympathy they have received during this difficult time and are especially grateful for all the prayers offered up in their behalf.
