Dale Fielding Rogers

Dale Fielding Rogers was born October 21,1937 to George Walter Rogers and Malinda Porter Rogers in Winslow Arizona.  Dale was the youngest of 7 children, he had 2 sisters Nelda Moore and Twila Blau as well as 4 brothers Lawrence, Perlie, Orsen and Raymond.  Dale married Laura Mae Hardy on May 2, 1964.  He adopted Laura Mae's daughter Terrie Dawn.  1 year after they married, they had Kevin Howard.  Four years later Charles (Chuck) Darren was adopted into their family.  They divorced in July of 1975.  On August 18 of 1982 he married his soul mate, Dorothy Ann Nelson.  They were married for over 39 years and never had an argument. 

Dale spent most of his working years driving semi-trucks. Mostly as an independent operator.  He loved old cars and motorcycles.  He spent many hours riding motorcycles with various friends.  He loved the outdoors and spent many hours working in his yard.  He enjoyed reading and spending time with his grandchildren.  He was always helpful to those in need.  He was never one to just sit still, he always had a project going.

He has 38 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents George Walter Rogers and Malinda Porter Rogers, Lawrence Walter Rogers (brother), Perlie Theodore Rogers (brother), Twila Ray Blau (sister), daughter Terrie Dawn Farns and son-in-law Bary Kent Petersen.

He is survived by Dorothy Ann Rogers (his wife), Kevin Howard Rogers (son), Charles (Chuck) Darren Rogers (son), Hartley Allen Turley (son), Sharon Kay Petersen (daughter), and Yvette Johnson (daughter).

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, February 26, 10:00 a.m., at the Joseph City Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 8181 Westover St., Joseph City, Arizona. with a viewing one hour prior. Burial will follow in the Joseph City Cemetery.
