Claudette Brignall Brown died Wednesday evening, November 28, 2018, at the Sunrise of Chandler Care Center in Chandler, Maricopa County, Arizona following a lengthy illness. She was 83 years old. Claudette was born on a Saturday, June 1, 1935, in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois to her parents, the late Claude Louis and Marjorie (Phillips) Brignall.
At the age of 5, Claudette moved to Arizona with her family. She graduated from North High School in Phoenix, Arizona. Throughout her life, Claudette was a loving mother and grandmother to her family. She most recently worked at, what was originally known as Cabin Fever and later became Liberty Market Place in Pinetop, where hers was a familiar and friendly face to many. When she wasn't working, she spent her time in service to others, including as a volunteer with Hospice Compassus in Lakeside for 10 years, as well as Alcoholics Anonymous. At the time of her passing, Claudette had celebrated 40 years of sobriety in AA; an accomplishment of which she and her family were so proud.
Claudette is survived by her 4 sons: Jeff (Kathy) Brown, Doug (Stephanie) Brown, Brad (Jan) Brown, Randy Brown (Kelly Lawler); 3 siblings: Phillip (Peggy) Brignall, Bonnie Conner, Claude Brignall, Jr.; 8 grandchildren: Ryan Brown, Drew Brown, Alexandra Brown, Eric Brown, Baillee Brown, Mitchell Brown, Molly Brown and Preston Brown, as well as cousins, nephews and a niece. Along with her parents, Claudette was preceded in death by her daughter, Cheryl Brown.
Private family services will be held.
