Charles Edward Gibbert died July 26, 2018, in Show Low, Arizona. He was 88. Charles was born on a Saturday, March 1, 1930 in Oakland, Alameda County, California to his parents, the late John H. and Eristine (Barrios) Gibbert.

Charles was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. In October of 1968 he received his honorable discharge from the military, after completing 20 years of faithful service. On July 30, 1985, Charles married Janet Mae Olson in Yuma, Arizona. They made their home in San Diego, California, Yuma and finally Show Low, Arizona. He was a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Show Low Lodge #2090 for many years. Charles was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign War and the Disabled American Veterans.

He is survived by his wife, Janet Mae Gibbert of Show Low, Arizona; 2 daughters: Barbara Wallace of Hemet, California, Carol Fiser of Ft. Mojave, Arizona; grandchildren, Gary and Randy Fiser, Jason Wallace and Desiree Farmer; great-grandchildren, Peyton and Olivia Farmer; 2 nephews: Rob Gibbert of North Bend, Washington, Greg Gibbert of Danville, California.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Show Low Emblem Club #337, PO Box 615, Show Low, Arizona 85902 in Charles’ name.
