Carolyn Joan Morrow 89, passed away January 28, 2024, in Apache Junction Az.
She was born and raised in Hutchinson Kansas. She worked on a family farm during the summers and did very well in school earning a scholarship to ASU. It was there she met her first love Tony Williams She was working as a stewardess for TWA when she and Tony were married. They had 2 daughters and Carolyn was a wonderful mother and homemaker She taught her daughters good values and to appreciate our blessings and what God gave us. Carolyn and Tony divorced after 31 years of marriage but remained close.
In 1996 Carolyn married Jim Morrow. She and Jim had 24 years of good memories. They shared their love of singing together and with others, golfing, traveling and many friends to be thankful for. Carolyn loved learning. Whatever she wanted to know she studied it, mastered it, and loved it. She loved golfing, sewing, computers, all kinds of art, crafts, photography and more.
She will be most remembered for her love of music and her beautiful voice. She sang solos and in choirs since high school in the Baptist church, after marriage in the LDS church and later in life in the Methodist, Presbyterian church and others. She was the director of many choirs and loved doing it.
Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Vicky Williams; her daughter and son-in-law. Sherri and Carlos Hernandez; her grandson, Mike Williams; and her great-grandchildren, Larissa Madsen Williams and Arius Williams.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Tony Williams and her second husband, Jim Morrow.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Owens Livingston Mortuary, 320 N. 9th St., Show Low, Arizona.
