Camarillo James Clendon

Camarillo James Clendon (best known as CJ), 38 of Whiteriver, AZ passed away on August 29, 2022 in Phoenix, Az at Banner Estrella Medical Center.

CJ was born to Cornelia and Jimmie Clendon Jr. of Whiteriver, AZ on June 27, 1984.

He resided on the San Carlos Apache Indian Reservation with his significant other Lanea Burdette and daughter, Camilla Clendon for eleven years.  

CJ was employed with the San Carlos Apache Tribe as a laborer for the San Carlos Wastewater/Water Treatment program for six years.

His time was best spent with family and friends. He enjoyed traveling to various rodeos and jackpot ropings as a competitor or to support family and friends.

CJ is preceded in death by his eldest daughter, Ciara Clendon, eldest brother Shane Clendon, grandparents and extended family that have passed on.

He is survived by his companion, Lanea Burdette; Son, Camaron Clendon, Daughter Camilla Clendon; Parents, Cornelia and Jimmie Clendon Jr.; Siblings, Amos Clendon, Sister-in-law Geralyn Clendon, and Clint Clendon, Sister-in-law Courtney Preston; Nieces, Odessa and Bailey Clendon; Nephews, JoJo, Jacoby, Jaxon, Khalihi, and Kaisen Clendon.

In honor of CJ a two-night wake will be held on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 4:00pm at his home residence in Whiterock Unit #370 San Carlos, AZ and on Thursday, September 8, 2022 10:30am at the Clendon residence in Whiteriver, AZ.

Funeral will be held on Friday, September 9, 2022 at 1:00pm North Fork Miracle Church. Burial will follow at the Whiteriver Cemetery.
