Byron Christopher Shelendewa

Sadly, Byron Christopher Shelendewa passed away on August 22, 2023 at the age of 46. He was born August 18, 1977 to Doris Nequetewa, in Gallup, New Mexico. He graduated from Holbrook High School in 1995. After high school he had 4 daughters. Byron was currently employed with the City of Holbrook and a Volunteer for the Holbrook Fire Department. He was a one-of-a-kind person, always willing to lend a hand when needed. If he wasn’t out helping in the community, you could find him spending time with the joys of his life, his daughters and granddaughter. Byron is survived by his father, Tyson Nequetewa; mother, Doris Nequetewa; sister, Violet Richards; daughters, Kim, Amber, Kamele and Brooklyn; and granddaughter, Oaklynn. Services for Byron will be held at the Holbrook Fire Department (100 Airport Rd. Holbrook, AZ. 86025) on Saturday, September 2nd, at 10:00 A.M. Interment will follow in the Holbrook Cemetery.
