Brad Baker was born in Phoenix, Arizona on October 30, 1944, to Weldon and Virginia Baker. He died peacefully on June 29, 2023. Pinetop was always his true home, and his love for the community cannot be understated. Brad was an influential member of the business community in the White Mountains. He owned and operated Baker’s Office City for over 34 years and served as the chairman of the Navopache Electric Cooperative Board of Directors for 23 consecutive years.
Brad lived a life full of passion and purpose. He didn’t see anyone as a stranger, but rather just a friend he hadn’t yet met. Simply put - he loved people. He was a masterful storyteller and reveled in entertaining audiences. He had an uncanny warmth and engaging presence. He was always planning his next trip or endeavor and felt his best when juggling multiple projects. His passions were too many to mention, but his avid love of snowmobiling, traveling, and ASU football was beyond measure.
Brad loved his wife with unbridled enthusiasm and cherished their life together. He will be remembered as an extraordinary friend, father, and husband. His memory will live on through his friends and family, who will carry him forever in their hearts.
Brad is survived by his wife, Jackie; daughters Heidi and Laura; sons Barrett, Brandon, and Mike; nine grandchildren (with one more on the way); one great-grandchild; and sister, Bev. Brad was predeceased by his sister, Barb.
