Bonnie Dee Wilkins

May 13, 1931 — January 17, 2019

Bonnie Dee Wilkins of Lakeside, Arizona peacefully passed away on January 17, 2019 at her home in Lakeside. She was 87. Bonnie was born on May 13, 1931 in Clemenceau, Arizona to the late Melvin Walter and Ruth Eleanor (Fox) Farrow.

She is survived by her daughters, Vikki (Kenneth) Olson of Phoenix, Arizona and Jayne Wilkins of Lakeside, Arizona; grandchildren, Phillip (Machelle) Click, Stephen (Kristen) Olson, Michael Wayne (Linda) Click and Logan Swinford; great-grandchildren, Griffin Olson and Malaeka Click; sisters, Rosemary Norton of Dallas, Texas, Hazel Rovey of Phoenix, Arizona and Dixie (George) Shirley of Phoenix; sister-in-law, Ruby Rumpf of Apache Junction, Arizona as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jay Wilkins.

Bonnie was an excellent Homemaker, so much so, she made a profession out of it. She sewed and mended many dresses and articles of clothing for her daughters and members of her family. She took a great deal of pride in her home, which was always warm and welcoming.

Bonnie was a very outgoing person and always made everyone around her feel loved. She was a great hostess and enjoyed entertaining her friends and family into her home. She loved to travel to Alaska, a trip she made many times with her sisters and husband. They also enjoyed RVing to Mt. Rushmore, a place she knew like the back of her hand.

Bonnie had a deep love for the Lord. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pinetop for many years. She served as a greeter and made sure that everyone always felt welcome at church. We find comfort in knowing she is safely in the presence of God and reunited with her loving husband, Jay.

Memorial services for Bonnie will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, February 8, 2019 at the First Baptist Church of Pinetop, 1901 E. White Mountain Boulevard, Pinetop, Arizona.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the White Mountain Hospice Foundation, P.O. Box 1975, Lakeside, Arizona 85929 or the First Baptist Church of Pinetop, 1901 E. White Mountain Boulevard, Pinetop, Arizona 85393 in Bonnie’s name.
