Betty Taylor

June 16, 1935 — March 6, 2025

Betty June Taylor, né Brewer, was born June 16,1935 in Snowflake, Arizona. She passed peacefully, surrounded by her family at home, in Clay Springs, Arizona on March 6, 2025.

She grew up as the oldest of Smith and June Brewer's 8 daughters in Heber, Arizona. She graduated high school from Snowflake High School in 1953 and married Jerry Taylor just shy of her 18th birthday that same year. They were sealed for time and all eternity in the Arizona Mesa Temple on their 10th anniversary. Together Jerry and Betty raised their 9 children in Payson, Arizona: Beverly (Loren) Jackson, Kathy (George) Katich, Cheri (Jim) Craghead, Sally (David) Blalock, Wendy (Jim) Guin, Jerry Taylor Jr, Amy (Dion) Packer, Mollie (Justin) Bigelow and Katie (RJ) Tomerlin. They have 67 grandchildren, 100 great-grandchildren and 21 great-great grandchildren. After Jerry retired in 1997, they moved to Clay Springs, Arizona, just outside of Show Low, Arizona.

Betty was a faithful lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She attended the temple regularly and held many callings throughout her life and served until her death. She played the piano and organ and demonstrated her love of music by playing for various congregations and functions. Some of her hobbies include sewing, reading, traveling and learning more about the gospel through the scriptures. Her favorite thing, though, was to be with her family. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and a doting grandmother.

Betty is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jerry, and will be laid to rest next to him. Her funeral will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Clay Springs, March 15, 2025, at 11:00 am. A viewing will be held prior to the funeral at 9:00 am. For those unable to attend, there will be a live zoom option.
