Bernard Dale, Sr., 50, of Whiteriver, Arizona, passed away on September 6, 2023, in Phoenix, AZ.
He was surrounded by his loving family.
Bernard was born in Whiteriver, Arizona at the PHS Hospital. His early years were spent living and attending school with LDS families in California, Idaho, and Utah. Upon graduation at 17 years of age, he requested signatures from his parents to join the Marine Corps during the time of the Gulf War conflicts.
He served in the Marine Corps from 1991 to 1995, receiving several awards, commendations, and medals. He also served as a Reserve officer after returning home.
Bernard joined the Whiteriver Police Department and rose to the rank of Lieutenant prior to leaving.
His other occupations included consultant for the WMAT Housing Authority, and the Morenci Mine.
He loved the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing and antler gathering! He enjoyed his hobbies with his Dad, Wilbert Dale, his sons, Bernard, Jr. and Brandon, and his friends. He was loved and respected by friends, family, and fellow police officers.
