Barbara Lee Goodman, of Vernon, passed into eternal life Monday, November 15. Barbara was born July 9, 1948 to Maurice and Yvonne Cole, in Ogden Utah. She was the 2nd of seven children. Her siblings were Vickie Lynn, Danny LeRoy, Steven William, Michael Edward, Ronald Darin and Robert Dee. She graduated Clearfield High School in 1966.
After graduation Barbara went into the work force beginning at the IRS, then for a federal judge at Hill AFB. She moved to Tucson in 1981 and worked for the VA hospital and the US Attorney’s office. She retired in 1994 and became a homemaker. Barbara met Pierce Goodman in Tucson in 1986 and they were sealed in the Mesa Temple on May 13, 1989. Barbara and Pierce combined their 7 children to make their family and started their lives together. They lived in Tucson until 2017 when Pierce retired and they moved to Vernon.
Barbara enjoyed making crafts and had her own craft shop at Goodman Dental Care. She sold her crafts around Southern AZ for many years. Barbara especially loved spending time with and spoiling all her grandchildren. They loved going to grandma’s house to color and eat popsicles. Barbara had a passion for learning the Gospel of Jesus Christ and spent many hours studying.
Barbara was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served in various callings. She served as Relief Society President 3 times, at stake and ward levels, and in Primary and Young Women’s programs. She gave service to many people and dedicated much of her time to others. Barbara served as a Temple worker at the Snowflake Temple.
Barbara is preceded in death by her father, mother, two brothers(Michael and Bobby), and her granddaughter Addison. She is survived by her husband of 32 years Pierce Goodman; her sister Vickie Owen; her brothers Danny Cole(Jenny), Steven Cole(Lisa), Ron Cole(Paea); her children, Brody and Andi Snedden, Ashley and Doug Alberts, Lance and Naomi Snedden, Aaron and Erin Goodman, Vance and Erin Goodman, Aubrey and Josh Harris, Caleb and Sarah Goodman; and 22 grandchildren.
Family will receive friends and family on Saturday, December 4th from 9:00-9:45 am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Vernon Chapel. Funeral services will begin at 10 am. Concluding services will follow at the Show Low Cemetery at 2pm.
