Annaleigh Faith Quesada

August 3, 1966 — June 9, 2021

Annaleigh Faith Quesada, age 54, of Whiteriver, passed away from an unexpected critical illness on June 9, 2021, in Mesa, Arizona. She was loved by family and many close friends who will feel her loss terribly.

Annaleigh was a beloved mother and aunt, with a legendary sense of humor. She attended Intermountain Indian School in Brigham City, Utah, where she played basketball. Annaleigh dedicated her life to the health and wellbeing of others as a unit coordinator, PCT, phlebotomist, monitor technician, and dialysis tech at hospitals in Tucson, Sells, and Scottsdale. She was known for her superior cleanliness, excellent cooking skills, and as a motivational support to many. Annaleigh was a devoted Steelers fan and maintained a deep appreciation for her Apache culture, language, and tradition. She enjoyed attending Sunrise Dance ceremonies, participating in traditional prayer, and she cherished her eagle feathers, hádndín, ishįįh, sage, and cedar.

She was born on August 3, 1966, to Montezuma Quesada and Nina (Gatewood) Quesada in Whiteriver, Arizona. She is preceded in death by her mother; brothers, Chet Tessa, Garon Quesada, and Renaldo Quesada; sisters, Melva Tessay, Kathreen Quesada, and Luann Nez.

Annaleigh is survived by her son, Elijah Quesada Stack; father, Montezuma Quesada; special friend, Valerie Hawkins; siblings, Sylvia Tessay-Beach, Dean Tessay, Krista Tessay, Glenda Hernandez, Colin Tessay, and Twana Quesada; and many nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.

Annaleigh will be remembered by how loved she made you feel. She took care with the gifts she chose to surprise others with and often ended conversations with “I love you.” She made friends everywhere she went and gave nicknames full of substance and meaning. She was a “tell it like it is” kind of person, who provided her insight in a straight-forward and compassionate way.
