Alberta Peterson

Alberta Peterson died on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at Haven of Show Low Nursing Center in Show Low, Arizona from causes incident to her age.  She was 91 years old.  Alberta was born on a Sunday, July 4, 1926 in Fulton, Oswego County, New York to her parents, the late Frank and Bessie (Peckham) Griffing.Alberta had been a resident of Arizona for the past 40 years.  She was an integral part of the Women of The Moose Lodge Chapter #2325 in Show Low where she will be greatly missed.  She enjoyed handicrafts and was especially talented with crocheting and embroidery.  Alberta was a loving mother to all 10 of her children:  Barbara (Paul) Alfano, Ronald (Mary, deceased) Stoutenger, Janice (Harry, deceased) Warner, Joyce (Leon) Holmes, Suzanne (Robert Hale) Richards, Linda (Paula) Bougeois, Kathleen Glass, deceased, Theresa (Maynard) Williams, Eric, deceased (Linda) Peterson and Keith, deceased (Tina) Peterson.  Alberta is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.  She also leaves behind many friends including, her very best friend, Cindy Sheffer.A special memorial service for Alberta will begin 10:00 A.M., Saturday, May 5, 2018 at Owens Livingston Mortuary - White Mountain Chapel, 320 N. 9th Street in Show Low, Arizona, which will be officiated by Chaplain Kevin Weaver.
