Aaliyah Kathryn Jensen passed away on October 23, 2022 at 10:15 a.m. at home, in the arms of her mother and surrounded by family. She fought bravely and heroically for 13 months against Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG), a highly aggressive, difficult to treat, and incurable form of brain cancer.
Aaliyah Kirk was born on November 13, 2016 in Show Low, Arizona to Destiny Kirk and lived in St. Johns, Arizona her entire life. Her mom married Jarret Jensen on September 12, 2019 and she was officially adopted on October 7, 2021 to become Aaliyah Jensen. She lived with her Mom, Dad, sister Aalayna, and Saint Bernard puppy, Amelia "Millie" Jensen.
She has always had such a special spirit about her. She knew how to light up any room she walked in to. Aaliyah enjoyed all things in her life. She loved going to school, riding horses, doing tap and ballet dancing, and playing with her friends and cousins. Trips and vacations were always a blast and she loved to go everywhere with her family. Always one for adventure and fun from the time she opened her eyes until long after bedtime.
Aaliyah loved her family, her puppy and most of all her baby sister, Aalayna. She begged and begged for a baby brother, but getting a little sister made her even happier. She was and will always be the light of our lives.
A viewing will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, October 29, 2022 at the Downtown Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 35 W. Cleveland St., St. Johns, with the funeral service to follow immediately at 11:00 a.m.

A Celebration of Life will take place at Mickey's, 235 White Mountain Drive in St. Johns, after the funeral service. We want to honor her by inviting all those that loved, supported and prayed for her in this life and on this journey.
