Joyce Marie Hill

? Joyce Marie Hill, of Shumway, Arizona, passed away in her home, on February 7, 2018.  She was 71 years old. Joyce was born on October 28, 1946 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Bernard Mailloux and late Eleanor (Gagnon) Mailloux.    She is survived by her husband Terry Hill; son, Patrick Hill of Phoenix, Arizona; daughters, Becky (Kevin) Floyd of Corona, California, Jacqueline (Drew Heathcote) Noel of Columbia, Missouri;  grandson, Jack Floyd; granddaughters, Claire Floyd, Wynde Noel, Kelli Noel and Mandi Schroff; sisters, Marianne (Ralph) Gavett of Corona, California, Jeanne Mailloux of Camp Verde, Arizona and Susan (David) Kinkade of Eagle Mountain, Utah.   She married her husband Terry Hill on April 11, 1969, in Corona California, while he was home on leave from service in Vietnam. She loved and enjoyed being with her children and grandchildren through the years.  She will be missed by her many friends and family.   She was very active with the Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9907, in Show Low, Arizona.  She had served as the Legislative Officer at the Post Auxiliary and at the District level.  She also served for several years as the secretary of the White Mountain Conservatives.  She had been an active member of the Sergeants Major Association Auxiliary during her years in California.  Joyce was very patriotic and loved helping veterans and their families.    There will be a Memorial Service for Joyce at the VFW Post 9907, 381 N. Central, Show Low, AZ at 3:00PM, February 24, 2018. Everyone is invited.    In lieu of flowers, the money would be better spent on something more worthwhile. She took on a project with the Auxiliary of the VFW Post 9907, the "Missing in America Project", to find unclaimed veteran remains in mortuaries and have those remains interred with full military honors in National Cemeteries throughout the United States.
