Phyllis Wendland Miller

February 23, 1941 — February 3, 2018

Phyllis W. Miller passed away on February 3, 2018 surrounded by her family.   Phyllis was born to parents Christopher “Bennie” and Loreta Wendland on February 23, 1941 in Roy, New Mexico.   After graduating from New Mexico State University she moved to California where she met and married the love of her life, Ted W. Miller in 1966.   Phyllis is survived by her husband, Ted W. Miller; children, Christy and Matt Alexander of Maryville, Tennessee, Mark and Christa Miller of Peoria, Arizona and Heather and Adam Lucas of Show Low, Arizona; grandchildren, Emma and Matthew Alexander, Brittany and Bryan Miller and Gweneth and Abagail Lucas; her sister, Ollie Jo Grosclaude; her brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Sherry Wendland, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.   She is preceded in death by her parents, Christopher “Bennie” and Loreta Wendland and her sister, Jacqueline Siegel.   It is hard to describe how special Phyllis was but here are a few thoughts that came to mind: She was beautiful, classy, a great cook, a loving mother and grandmother, selfless, a devoted wife and daughter of Christ, an accomplished seamstress, spunky, thoughtful, generous, caring, she had great strength and she was a fighter – we will miss you Silly P, you were simply amazing.   Memorial services to be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 17, 2018 at the Calvary Baptist Church, 241 E. McNeil, Show Low, Arizona.   In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Calvary Baptist Woman’s Ministry, Show Low, Arizona or the Living Hope Center in Show Low, Arizona.
