Gretchen Elizabeth “Dee” Brady of Show Low, Arizona died peacefully in her sleep in the early hours of January 24th, 2018 in Eagar, Arizona. Dee was born in Tuba City, AZ in 1939. Though she lived and grew up in many places, some of her fondest memories and recollections were at the Alamo Ranch in Mancos Valley, CO. She loved and honored her heritage and offered many stories of her childhood which were rich in history. She met her future husband in Show Low in 1961. They were married in the fall of 1962. She worked as a homemaker, secretary, bartender, librarian and bookkeeper. She had a very strong work ethic, as there was never a time she could not be relied on. She was a “Mom” to many, and a friend to all who knew her. She had a wonderful sense of adventure and was always ready for a road trip. She cherished her LDS community and held strong to her faith. She will truly be missed by all. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lutie and Fanny (Wetherill) Mahan, her sister Susie (Mahan) Hanson, her brother Patrick Mahan and her late husband William Jesse “Dub” Brady. She is survived by her children, Shannon Marie (Ruben) Brady-Otero of Phoenix, AZ, Patrick James Brady of Show Low, AZ, Mary Katherine (Katie) Brady of Eagar, AZ, and Christian T. Michael William Brady of Tucson, AZ. and by her grandchildren, Erica Michelle, Charlieann Lanae, Mary Emily Rebekah, Gladys Jewel, William Elmer, Brittney Marie, Joshua Lee, Michael Patrick Jesse, Mitchel William, Tori Sean, Timothy James and by her seven great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will begin at 11:00 am, at the Downtown LDS Chapel, 300 N. 11th St., in Show Low, AZ on Saturday, February 3rd, 2018. There will be a viewing one hour prior.
