Lavinia Mae Lupe of Mesa, Arizona passed away on January 6, 2018 in Mesa. She was 58. She was born to Thomas Tessler and Hilda (Cruz) Tessler on April 5, 1959 at home in East Fork, Arizona. Lavinia attended the Sherman Indian High School in Riverside, California before attending Haskell Junior College in Kansas. She then went on to attend the Arizona Institute of Business and Technology in Mesa, Arizona. She was listed on the Director’s List with a G.P.A of 3.62, made the Top 10 of her class and then was listed again on the Director’s List for a G.P.A of 3.8. She graduated on July 21, 2000 with her Associates Degree in Health Management. She worked for the Chandler Regional Medical Center in Chandler, Arizona for many years. She was very charitable and enjoyed helping people. She loved to travel and enjoyed being a military wife. While her husband, Robert, was stationed in San Diego, California while at a Sub Base and then at Port Hueneme, California she enjoyed working in the Commissary. Her greatest joy in life was being a mother and a grandmother. She will be deeply missed by all those whom she dearly loved. She is survived by her husband, Robert of Mesa, Arizona; children, Adrian Rope of Chandler, Arizona, Renee Lupe of Inglewood, California and Cruz Lupe of Mesa, Arizona; grandchildren, Dystnee Rope of Ft. Hall, Idaho, Elind Rope of Ft. Hall and Anthony Chavarin of Inglewood; sisters, Valaria Ethelbah and Charlotte Tessler and brothers, Chris and Wilfred Tessler. She was preceded in death by her parents. A one night wake will be held Friday, January 12, 2018 at the family home, 22 Yellow Brick Road, Over The Rainbow, Whiteriver, Arizona. Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday, January 13, 2018 at the East Fork Lutheran Church with the interment to follow in the Dove Street Cemetery in East Fork, Arizona.
