James Kyle Langston

June 22, 1942 — December 12, 2017

James Kyle Langston came into the world on June 22, 1942, in Alamosa, Colorado. He was the 5th of 8 children born to John and Louise Langston. He left his worn out earthly body on December 12, 2017. He's having a grand reunion with loved ones. Jim grew up in Flagstaff. He served an LDS mission to Uruguay and Paraguay and learned to love the people and the country. He graduated from NAU with a teaching degree. While at NAU he met Linda Ramsey, a Snowflake girl, and they were married in the Mesa Temple on August 10, 1972. One trip to Snowflake was all it took for Jim to want to live here and raise his 7 kids. Jim was known for his ready smile and positive outlook on life. He loved God, his family, and everyone else on the planet. He liked nothing better than to give out inspirational stories and candy bars. Service was how he lived his life. He loved the youth and spent many hours teaching and coaching. If you ever saw a backhoe with a man in a baseball cap, a short sleeved shirt and no coat, it was Jim. His motto was : "Have I done any good in the world today? Have I helped anyone in need? Have I cheered up the sad and made someone feel glad? If not I have failed indeed." You are no failure Jim Langston! Jim is survived by his wife Linda; his children, Matthew, Nathan (Holly), Rachel (Flavio) Braga, Adam (Seng), Joshua (Nicole), Amy (Fabricio) Braga, and 15 1/2 of the best grandkids; brothers, Keith & Jess (Sherri); sisters, Betha (Wilford) Holyoak, Sharon (Curtis) Shawcroft, Sally Scott, & Laura (Garry) Rogers, and many nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by parents, John & Louise Langston; son, Aaron Langston; sister, Janet Goodman; sister-in-law, Janet Langston; and brothers-in-law, Jim Goodman & Gary Scott. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 16, at the Main Street Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 48 N. Main St., in Snowflake, AZ at 11:00 A.M., with a visitation one hour prior.  Interment will follow at the R.V. "Mike" Ramsay Memorial Cemetery in Snowflake.
